DESCRIPTION:<h3>On<strong> Saturday, November 14th</strong> between 10AM and 12 Noon we will be giving away free turkeys along with a bag of non-perishable side dish items to feed a family of four for those who are in need of a Thanksgiving Day Dinner.</h3>

<h3>DONATION OPPORTUNITIES</h3>
<strong>DONATE A FROZEN TURKEY(S):  SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH, 9AM - 11AM</strong>
We are accepting frozen turkeys in the Lower Level Lounge.  By using the links below to indicate your intention to donate you will help us greatly in knowing our count to plan accordingly.

<strong>DONATE A BAG(S) OF NON-PERISHABLE SIDE DISH ITEMS: EVERY SUNDAY (October 4th - October 8th) following both church services, AND, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH (9AM - 11AM)</strong>

Donate a full bag of side dish items.  Each bag must contain <strong>ALL</strong> of the following items:

1 (one) box of stuffing
2 (two) cans of vegetables
2 (two) cans of soup
1 (one) can of yams
1 (one) can of jellied cranberry sauce
1 (one) can of fruit
1 (one) can of gravy
1(one) box of macaroni and cheese OR mashed potatoes
1 (one) box of cake mix
1 (one) can of frosting, and
1 (one) 64 oz. bottle of apple juice

<h3>GIVE FINANCIALLY: ONGOING</h3>
We are accepting monetary donations designated specifically toward purchasing additional food for this outreach event.  There are several ways to give including cash or checks specifically noted 'Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway' given through Sundays offering or mailed to the church office.  In addition, you can make a donation online securely using our <strong><a href="https://pushpay.com/g/thevineyardchurch?src=hpp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PUSHPAY APP</a></strong> (select 'Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway 2026').  Visit our <strong><a href="https://theexperiencevc.com/give/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Giving Page</a></strong> for additional info.

<h3>VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES</h3>
<strong>Sunday Storage</strong>: <strong>Each Sunday from October 4th through November 8th (after both services)</strong>
These volunteers will accept bagged, non-perishable Thanksgiving side dish items from donors and properly store them in the designated spaces in the Lower Level Lounge.

<strong>Donation Drop Off Day: </strong><strong>Saturday, November 7th from 8:30AM-11:30AM
</strong>These volunteers will accept frozen turkey donations and bagged non-perishable Thanksgiving side dish item donations and will properly store them freezers or appropriate shelving.

<strong>Extra Freezer Space: PICK UP: Saturday, November 7th (11AM - 12 Noon) AND DROP OFF:  Saturday, November 14th (9AM - 10AM)
</strong>Do you have extra freezer space available?  Our prayer is to have more than we can store here at the church.  The turkeys will be available for you to pick up on November 7th.  You will return them to the church for us to distribute on November 14th.  If you have extra freezer space for storage, click here:

<strong>General Set Up: </strong><strong>Friday, November 13th from 3PM until finished
</strong>These volunteers will set up for Giveaway Saturday.   This includes moving and chairs, bringing bags of side dishes items upstairs and general arrangement of the distribution area.

<strong>Decorating: </strong><strong>Friday, November 13th from 5PM to 8PM</strong>
The volunteers will decorate both inside and outside with fall appropriate decor.<strong>

<strong>Turkey Giveaway Day: Saturday, November 14th (Volunteer times are 8AM - 12:30PM OR 12 Noon until we are finished)
</strong>There are multiple volunteer opportunities to serve on Giveaway Day.
<ul>
 	<li>Hospitality/Welcome – Greet and direct guests, answer questions and assist those who may have mobility issues.  8AM to 12 Noon</li>
 	<li>Non-perishable Distribution – Distribute non-perishable side dish bags and escort guests to their vehicle if necessary. 8AM to 12:30PM.</li>
 	<li>Frozen Turkey Distribution – Distribute frozen turkeys and escort guests to their vehicle if necessary. 8AM to 12:30PM.</li>
 	<li>Clean-Up Volunteers – Work as a team to assist clean up after the event and restore the chairs to their proper setting in preparation for Sunday services. 12 Noon until finished.
